2023-24 Winter Season

One of the most beautiful weddings in looks that I can think of is the way a red and white wedding looks in the wintertime. The snow is white and the groom is in his tux and she is in all white against the contrasting white of the background with the hint of green on the snow-covered trees. I love how picturesque it looks. Although I love the way it looks in photographs the reality of planning such a wedding is more complicated than it seems.

The practical side of wedding planning leads me to explain how difficult it is to create romantic picturesque weddings. That’s why it’s a year in the planning and if you planning a 2024 wedding this is your season to shop. Some of the red colors in ribbons and flowers are not around for the rest of the year and might not return next year.

  1. Know the approximate number of guests you think will attend the wedding. This will help you plan for next year.

  2. Purchase as many of the items as you think you’ll need.

  3. If you're a sales girl visit a wedding store and shop for wedding gowns, take down the name and number of the dress. If you’re a fashion girl don’t purchase the dress until you see 2024 wedding fashion. This way if they don’t have what you want you have a fallback dress.

  4. Think about what you will wear setting up your wedding if you're a do-it-yourself girl. If you employ a wedding planner discuss the concerns you have about planning a wedding so far in advance.

  5. It’s all about the bride, right? Plan photograph sessions for the bridesmaids allowing their beautiful red dresses to be part of the romantic style wedding you planning.

  6. Don’t forget even at the most romantic weddings people need to be warm. Most people tend to forget they will need some type of cover, coat, or blanket.

  7. It’s easiest to pre-plan a photography session prior to the ceremony, however, I recommend after the ceremony when everything is set up so you don’t have to dry clean the dresses before the wedding. Have a change of clothing for the reception and allow the “Trash the Dress” moments to be during the photography session. Please understand the term trash the dress isn’t literal. It means that in this case, snow can be messy, melting, wet, or have soot or pine needles. That’s what I have discovered in California's local mountain.

There are so many people who think employing wedding planning is out of the question. My question to you is; What is it that you do for a living? Is being what you do for a living out of the question? That's how wedding planners fee\
